In October, we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada, so I am already thinking of home décor and crafts for the Fall season and this special occasion. Fall makes me think of leafy wreaths and the colorful landscape hues I see everyday of bright, crisp blue sky and golden trees. So I decided to design a card with watercolour, texture and metallic feathers using Foil Board, creating a Dreamcatcher wreath.
I took another piece of Double Thick White and used watercolour markers on it to achieve this pretty effect.
Using a We R Memory Keepers die and Evolution, I cut feathers from two colors of Foil Board: Rose Gold and Silver.
I used American Crafts Sticky Thumb Adhesives to put the card together: Double Sided Tape for the card layers and Sticky Dots for the gold pearl wreath and feathers.
This little watercolour banner was easy to make with a leftover piece of Double Thick White, and then I hand lettered the sentiment “thankful.”
Every card needs a matching envelope, right? I used Bazzill Bling “Sparkle” to create an envelope with the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board. The Punch Board also has directions to make liners for inside the envelopes so I made one with Rose Gold Foil Board. So pretty!
Fall is a time of year to reflect and express gratitude, and I think I will be making many more cards with pretty envelopes to thank special family members and friends!
