That special day of chocolates and roses is approaching, and I am always excited about designing Valentine cards!
How could I not use the new Trends Marble cardstock when it is called “Candy Hearts“? I die cut a pink heart with a We R Memory Keepers “Nesting Doily Hearts” die using the Evolution. Then I cut a larger black heart from Raven cardstock to mat the pink one and make it pop.
For the quote, I used my calligraphy tools and chose white ink so it would stand out and match the background base layer.
Those of you who do hand lettering and calligraphy will be happy to know that the Marble cardstock is smooth Card Shoppe heavy weight and is lovely to write on. You could also stamp a sentiment too.
I embossed a piece of Bazzill White Monochromatic cardstock with a We R Memory Keepers ABC-123 embossing folder and Evolution machine.
I thought the numbers in the background were a cute reflection of the quote “let me count the ways” in the Valentine heart.
Then I added a pink bow and folded another piece of Raven cardstock to finish the card.
I love the elegance and romance of that Marble cardstock doily heart!
Wishing you all a day of love and laughter.
