I love a good mood board! Beautiful photographs whether in a magazine, on Pinterest, or Instagram helps kick off my creativity! Here is a mood board that I have created to help inspire your next project.
This mood board has a touch of gold, pink, and chevron – everything that I am loving right now! The softness of the roses helped inspire the “faux” watercolor technique I used on my stamped image from Hot Off the Press.
This rose stamp is so small and delicate, I wanted to try and get that soft look. To start off I used Marshmallow Card Shoppe cardstock, which is a perfect weight for blending with markers without bleeding. I stamped my cardstock with Versafine Watermark Ink so that I could use white embossing powder. The embossing powder will help keep my color contained in the stamped image.
I began coloring the centers of the flowers with Tombow 856 (red) and then using the Tombow N00 (blender) I moved the color to the outside edges of the flower. This gave the petals their lighter color. For the leaves I did the same using Tombow 098 (green) for the leaves.
I then backed my stamped image in a Silhouette cut file along with gold foil behind the chevron! I love how sophisticated and delicate the card looks!
