Happy National Dog Day! Well, if you ask me, that sounds like an absolutely fabulous excuse to craft some of those pet photos you have! I happen to have a beautiful brand new puppy girl named Morgan, so I had QUITE a few photos on hand to choose from for this layout! Instead of going with the absolute BEST photos, I, instead, went with two photos that truly tell a story. They give you a little peek into Morgan’s sweet personality and I love that! I used a variety of Bazzill Basics cardstocks to achieve a look that coordinates with the photos SO well! Love that!
I used two Instagram photos printed on a Selphy printer as my photos. I layered those on the gorgeous Malt Ball Smoothies cardstock and lined lined that with a strip of Cardinal Classics cardstock. I love the rich chocolate brown tones with the red on the Almond Cream background! A touch of gold in the letters and accents is the perfect accent color!
I used a few wood veer dog embellishments and a great gold and white flair piece as my accents. The red circles are simply punched cardstock! So easy! To add more interest, I cut one circle in half to create a distinct edge along the same line as the title. A T-Square ruler comes in handy when lining these elements up! A bit of washi tape at the top and below the photos draws the eye carefully across the entire layout.
Happy National Dog Day, folks!
