I love this sweet little cat from Reverse Confetti’s Too Cute to Spook stamp set! I decided to use a different technique to colour him in…

I started by stamping the hat, then creating a mask for it with a post-it note (stamping the hat onto the post it note, near the sticky side and cutting it out by hand. I placed it over the hat while I stamped the cat.) I also stamped the cute little pumpkin pail in his hand and the sentiment.

Then, I used some Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and some acetate.

I coloured five colours onto the acetate all in a row.

Then, using a Ranger mini-mister, I spritzed my acetate a few times until the colours started to bleed into each other, just a little.

Then, I quickly flipped it over onto my stamped image of the cat. I strongly recommend using one of Bazzill Basic’s thicker cardstocks for this.  I used Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe: Marshmallow, which worked really well.

The final effect — a cat coloured-in in a fun & creative way!

Thanks for looking!
