My Scrapbook formula…

Hi everyone, It’s Kim and I’m here to share my process for creating my scrapbook layouts.

First let me share a recent layout I created using Bazzill cardstock.

Now let me share a tried and true scrapbook formula that works for me.

1. Begin with a piece of cardstock. In this case I used a piece of Turquoise Mist cardstock. Choose a piece of pattern paper and trim it to 6×12 inches. Adhere the pattern paper to one half of the cardstock.

2. Use your sewing machine and stitch down the centre of the layout.

3. Add your photos.

4. Cluster your embellishments around your photos for a cohesive look.

5. Finally add your journalling. I use my vintage typewriter to type my journaling on some white Bazzill cardstock. Trim the journalling  into thin strips then adhere the centre of each strip to the layout. Add some machine stitching through the centre of the journalling strips for added dimension.

When I follow this formula I can get my pages done super quick. I just change up my photos and my embellishments but keep the rest of the layout fairly similar!
