Hello everyone! Today I want to share a paper piecing card design that I made with the New Mono Adhesive Cardstock
I remember the days of paper piecing … hours and hours spent tracing patterns and cutting out all the bits with scissors or craft knife. (yes I’m that old). Enter the digital age and our electronic cutting machines!
With my Brother ScanNCut, I had my pieces cut in a couple minutes and pieced together just as quickly. Why? Because I used the new Mono Adhesive Cardstock!
I simply chose a few colors of Mono Adhesive cardstock that I wanted to use for my boat: yellow, red and blue. Then I cut all the pieces with my ScanNCut.
No adhesive required! I just pieced all the parts together down onto a card base of Classic White cardstock.
Then I decided to add some layers of oceans waves and cut several wavy border strips from light blue Mono Adhesive cardstock.
The final touch was hand lettering a Bon Voyage sentiment and adding some red white blue twine, keeping with the nautical colors. I adhered everything to a beautiful blue Huckleberry Pie folded card base.
Now I have a card to give my friend who is going on a cruise this summer. Sure wish I was going with her!
