Who doesn’t love a little Santa Claus Paper piecing at Christmas time! Its Kim Jeffress here and I’m here to share how all it takes is some Bazzill cardstock and a few punches from American Crafts and you have  two quick and easy Christmas cards that can be replicated over and over.

Lets start with my first  card Dear Santa!

I made my base card with some  Red Carpet Bling cardstock adding in a strip of the Snow pattern paper from Pink Paislee Merry and Bright and a Marshmellow strip to add a neat border on the left.

I then grabbed a bunch of my punches and some Cherry Splash , Marshmellow ,Black and Sherbet cardstock  to create my Santa.  Lets see what American Crafts  Knock Out punches I used to create him.

Beard- Scalloped Circle  2″

body- Square 1.5″

Head- Circle 1.5″

Nose and Hat pom pom- 2mm& 4mm Holes screw punch

I used my paper trimmer to cut his hat and legs from cardstock. His cheeks were made by punching a small hole using a hole punch on a scrap piece of cardstock and then using my Heidi  Swapp Pink ink and a sponge dauber to sponge through the hole onto his face punched from the Sherbet cardstock.. So the hole became my stencil for inking!  His moustache I cut using my silhouette!

Once I punched out all my pieces I used my Bazzill Marathon Runner Adhesive to piece him together. I then used some foam tape to pop him up on the front left of my card. To finish my Santa off I added some Wink Of Stella to the Marshmellow cardstock for some touches of sparkle.

My second card uses the same base card design, this time however I used the  Cherry Splash cardstock as my base. I also added a small strip of the Silver Foil cardstock to the very left of my card to tie in with the star at the top of my tree.

That star was punched from the Silver Foil cardstock using the Knock Outs Star 2″ punch. I used my paper trimmer to cut my tree from the Aqua cardstock then embossed it for some texture with the  Script embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers. I trimmed the stem of the tree from Black then pieced it together  using the Bazzill Marathon Runner and then adhered it to my card. I embellished the tree by laying over the foil word strips and  die cut from the Pink Paislee Merry and Bright Ephemera pack. To the star I added some Wink of Stella for another touch of sparkle. I finished off with that bow tied with some American Crafts red and  White Bakers  Twine.
