Hello, Bazzill Basics friends! This is Jingle here today sharing a couple of SUPER fun cards I created using lots of my favorite Bazzill papers!
These super fun minion cards begin with a basic white classic card base. I then layered some Classic Yellw cardstock over that, in a simple panel. The next step was to create those SUPER fun overalls using the Dotted Swiss Riptide. The Dotted Swiss papers really are some of my favorite! Polka Dots?! What is not to love? For reals, though.
I added a simple pocket by cutting a rectangle and then snipping the ends almost as I would to create a banner, only keeping the pointy end rather than the banner style end. I outlined it with some white pen stitching to accent the pocket just a bit and adhered it with foam tape. A simple chipboard alphabet sticker was all it needed!
For the goggles on the two cards, I used my Silhouette to cut basic rings from the new Mylar papers. More Dotted Swiss for the eye color gave a bit of texture in just the right spot! I used classic black to create straps and pupils.
And of course, a Minion isn’t a minion without a silly hair style! I simply ‘chopped’ at some classic black to get some uneven (*gasp*) strands and adhered them to the top of the card. The hair extends above the cards, making these great candidates to attach to a gift bag or give in person. If you want to mail it, you may want to go for the more ‘slicked down’ look. *wink*
I truly hope you have enjoyed these fun little Minions and I would LOVE to see your version if you give them a try! You may even find some little ones in your home wanting to craft with you for this one!
Have a Happy!
