Stamps can be such a versatile and cost-effective way of embellishing scrapbook layouts! A set of stamps can be a great investment as you can team it with your chosen color ink and some Bazzill Basics cardstock for use on many projects! I have a couple of stamping tips to share today as I show how I created this layout using some of my current favorite stamps!
To get the best results when stamping, I would generally recommend a completely smooth cardstock such as the Bazzill Basics Smoothies or Card Shoppe. I used my favorite cardstock, White OP, that has a slight texture as I was using smaller stamps, so would still get a great result. And firstly, for a mix’n’match title, I paired a chipboard word with a stamped word.
When using alphabet stamps, I ensure they are somewhat straight by first lining them up on my cutting mat lines. Once they are arranged how I want them, I then pick them up on my stamping block to keep them in that position. Easy!
I’m a huge fan of those small word/phrase stickers! Did you know you could easily make your own? I grabbed some scraps of my white cardstock, and stamped some great phrases on them with black ink. Once cut apart, they are perfect for adding to any layout! While I had the supplies out, I stamped several extra also to keep on hand for future projects.
Adhere them with pop dots for extra dimension! You can see I added them to a couple of places on my layout.
I’m sure you’ll see these stamps popping up in more of my future projects! I hope you got a couple of tips today to perhaps use your stamps in your scrapbooking more!
