Hello friends! It’s Gail here today and this year my husband and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary! I already have a scrapbook album dedicated to our wedding but I wanted to create another layout to place in a frame for the wall. As I didn’t have to stick to a particular color scheme to fit in with a “themed” album, I just had fun and here it is:
I went to one of my go-to techniques lately: fringe! I can’t get enough of it and Bazzill cardstock is perfect for this technique! I divided my layout into 4 sections started with my fringe panels.
For the top left panel I went for an ombre-inspired look with 3 shades of a coral-pink cardstock. My fringe is handcut and probably uneven but for this technique – it doesn’t matter! Go for it and start snipping!
For the bottom right panel I mixed some gold foil cardstock with two shades of aqua cardstock. How great does the foil board look when it’s fringed?
For the top right panel I added a hand-stitched pattern to my favorite White OP cardstock to add texture. A few simple embellishments was all it needed then to finish it off!
Here’s another view of the layout and the awesome dimension it has! The dimension of the fringing will show when the layout is in its shadow frame!
It was so fun to re-visit some of my wedding photos and create a layout with one just for fun! So whether you are newly married or are celebrating a special anniversary, pull out a favorite photo and create a layout to showcase it!
